Marty Thomas, Managing Director of the Triple Crown, is standing on lumber and in front of scaffolding that will be used to erect bleachers at the competition. There will be reporters, photographers, and media people from all over the world attending this big contest. Marty was 9th in the world years ago when he was a professional surfer on the ASP (Association of Surfing Professionals) circuit.
